Competency-Based Education

As FAIMER celebrates its 25th year, we are invested—now more than ever—in responding to the evolving needs of the global health professions education (HPE) community. With this in mind, we have chosen to build on the strong foundation created by the faculty, facilitators, and participants of the FAIMER Competency-based Education (FACE) program to enhance its impact. Rather than bring in new cohorts for International FAIMER Competency-based Education (I-FACE) and Regional FAIMER Competency-based Education (R-FACE) 2026, the programs will be paused as we focus on bringing learning outcomes, instruction, content, and assessment into closer alignment to support participants’ learning.

Thank you for your support and participation over the past five years. We look forward to a FACE programming relaunch in 2027.
